Oaksedge Farm Dog Hotel in Derbyshire offers real holidays for dogs.
We want your dog to enjoy their holiday as much as you expect to enjoy yours. Our dog hotel is set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Dogs in our care are given plenty of exercise and activities. Offering a unique luxury dog boarding service. Dogs rooms are built within a two hotel buildings and our home, furnished to a high standard with cosy beds, comfy sofas and their own TV and underfloor heating. We are proud that our rooms are as good as if not better than a human hotel room. |

We also offer licensed home boarding where dogs stay in our own home as part of the family.
We make sure all of the dogs get plenty of one to one time
We are constantly improving and looking for ways to improve our service so we can offer the very best in holidays for the most important member of your family.
We cannot take aggressive, destructive or noisy dogs as this causes unrest for the others.
Please bring your dogs's current medical records to hotel check-in that show proof of Vaccination.
Dogs are our passion.
They give us so much happiness and devotion we owe it to them to give all we can back.
There's nothing better than when dogs drag their owners to our front door and can't wait to come and play.
Dogs truly love coming to visit and we love having them.
I know how much I miss my dog when I have to leave her and know I expect the very best so I aim to give the owners of my doggie guest's complete peace of mind knowing that dog is getting the very best care, we want to give them a relaxing fun experience that they will always remember.
Dogs are exercised everyday sometimes up to three times a day as we believe exercise is essential to dogs happiness.
Dogs are walked in pairs on extension, they are never let of the lead for safety reasons.
Walks vary in distance depending on dogs being walked, some old dogs don't want to go far at all they just want to go out for a stroll and a sniff, but young dogs can go for miles.
We walk different walks every day to make it more interesting for your pooch.
I also avoid the roads as much as I can, we are in a very rural setting, so it is very rare to come across a car on the roads around us.
We believe that the walk is for the dog, so we allow them to sniff and explore at their own pace.
Dogs are cleaned and dried if they get wet, in the winter they can come back from walks and look forward to sitting by a warm fire, I also put coats on them in wet and cold weather.
In the summer they are kept cool on walks young dogs can go swimming to keep cool and the house is always lovely and cool if the weather is hot.
Dogs can enjoy home cooked meals or dog food of the highest quality, or their owners can provide their regular feed. Dogs are treated as part of our family as we feel this is how dogs are most content.
Dogs will get a health check on arrival and daily checks; any problems and they will be checked by the vet.

About us..
Oaksedge Farm is run by me (Abigail) and my husband Craig we are dedicated to the happiness and welfare of dogs in our care.
We both enjoy walking and caring for the dogs in our hotel.
Qualified in dog grooming, Micro chipping and animal care and Dog First Aid, Level 3 Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare.
23 years experience in working with dogs and a life times experience dog ownership.
Our dogs are like our children to us so we know how important yours is to you, they are not just dogs they really are important members of the family. We expect and give the very best for our dogs and give the same care and attention to yours.
We know how much we miss our dogs when we are not with them and how much they miss us, so we understand and its our job to make sure your dogs are having such a lovely time they are always happy and we will keep you updated so you can see they are having a fun time so you can enjoy your holiday.
It is our job to look after your dog in the way they are accustomed and make sure they are happy and healthy.
I have always worked with animals. I went to equestrian college and enjoyed riding and working with horses from a young age.
Having always had a passion for dogs I have been extremely blessed able to turn my love for them into my dream career.
First training as a dog groomer I soon discovered there was a need for alternative more luxurious homely boarding for dogs for owners who did not want to put their dogs into normal kennels as I did not go on holiday for 11 years when I became the owner of my own little Cocker Spaniel Sunny and could not find anywhere I felt good enough for him. So I started my own business originally boarding dogs in my own home and expanding to the dog hotel giving the dogs lovely happy holidays and have been doing so for the last 20 years.
We both enjoy walking and caring for the dogs in our hotel.

Eco friendly dog hotel
We are working towards being as Eco as possible.
Our Cleaning and Grooming products are biodegradable and cruelty free.
All products we use are cruelty free.
We try also to be as plastic free as possible.
Our heating is supplied by ground source heat and air source, our electricity is from solar panels.
A lot of our water is from a natural spring.
We have planting 2000 wildlife friendly trees on the farm so far.
We feed the birds and try to help all the local wildlife where we can, by rewilding our land and planting wildlife friendly trees and flowers.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve our green credentials.
Our electricity supplier is 100% renewable.
We have a 100% electric car which is charged by 100% renewable energy.
